Technology based interactive lessons are designed from a rich multi-media format using text, video and other technologies to immerse students into a lesson. The unique format allows teachers to design and store lessons from a media storage bin or digital library. Through the creation of active external urls allows the lesson to be archived, revised and resubmitted for ongoing usage.

Interactive lessons come complete with lessons objectives, user notes, activities, and resource links designed to inspire students to become immersed in the lesson. Teachers can design lessons using the Technology-based interactive design module that walks them through each step needed to complete a modular lesson. Once the lesson is completed they can be uploaded to a media serve for others to use and improve on. In the video tutorial I will demonstrate how lessons are constructed, saved and retrieved from a media server.

Teachers who create, digital lessons can be engaged in an important role in demonstrating the practical and effective uses of interactive technology resources in both teaching and learning. For teachers, digital content libraries will offer access to a broad array of combining interdisciplinary content into a complete seamless learning experience. No longer will content be segmented and delivered in multiple strands, but can now be combined into presentations that will expand the learning opportunities for all students.

The information contained on this PowerPoint presentation will demonstrate how to design technology-based lessons using digital resource libraries and applications. In the note section of the presentation, explanations will be provided to expand ideas and strategies for integrating technology-based, multi-media resources into the classroom. The focus of this PowerPoint presentation is to demonstrate the power of digital media and the impact it will have on the future of learning. Save this presentation on your desktop and see the many ways to create digital lessons.

Overview

Twelve video tutorials will provide the necessary examples that will outline the essential elements in developing a technology-based interactive whiteboard lesson. In these 12 tutorials, you will learn how to utilizing multi-media content and other technology-based resources such as Google Earth kmz files. Session one is broken down into twelve separate tutorials and will be your guide to interactive lesson design. Each of the individual lessons is in video or pdf format and has been developed in short sessions to cover one or more skills per session. The end result will be the creation of a technology-based interactive lesson.
